In order to encourage student participation in LatinCloud 2012 a number of Student Travel Grants will be distributed. The grant award will be of 400 USD and it can be used to cover travel expenses to attend the conference, such as registration fee, transportation, and accommodation.

Rules for applicants:

1. The applicant must be a full-time student;
2. A brief statement from the student must be submitted to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it containing:
3. A short-bio/CV of the student;
   a. Current student enrollment status (institution, MSc, PhD, semester, etc.);
   b. Contact information of the student's advisor (or reference researcher);
   c. Rough estimate of travel expenses (hotel, plane tickets, etc.);
4. Applications must be submitted by Nov 8th 2012;
5. To receive the award the student must register and attend to the conference and be present at the closing ceremony where the grants will be handed out.

The awarded students will be notified on Nov 12th 2012.
